Cosmic Gumbo is a side project of Max Sanders that brings together an ever changing cast of new and interesting members in the New Orleans music community curated by Sanders himself. While Max’s solo music is more focused on storytelling and tradition his Cosmic Gumbo is an undulating improvisational experience that may visit familiar sounds and songs, but will just as quickly throw caution to the wind and dive headfirst into the outer reaches of harmony and emotion.
